Paulas Place for Discerning Diners
Life and Style
After owning and running Cascais
Restaurant for the last 15 years, Paula
and husband Joao have made thier
dream come true. Theyn renovated a
residential house at 314 Samora
Machel Avenue, Eastlea.
They put alot of through into it to have both a relaxed area on the patio, as well as a formal dinning area inside, which is about 25% larger than Cascais, but yet more efficient. No costs were spared and they cut no corners when they re-did the kitchen as it's the heart of the business. It sparkles with new imported stainless steel equipment. An enormous state-of-the-art freezer room and cold room were imported from South Africa. Paula's Place offers a homely, safer, family atmosphere. It is for members and thier invited guests only. It's top priority is to have a happy, warm atmosphere to socialise in, therefore the membership is controlled and may be cancelled at any time.
All who support Paula's Place get to taste thier Protuguese Speciality which is braaied chicken and grilled prawns, and all meals are good value for money. The specials can be seen on the boards. By members' demand the quarter chichen and prawns combo has not been changed as this is now the second best seller after the piripiri chicken!
Paula exudes a sense of pride and joy in her new venture. She pays tribute to her husband saying she could not have lived her dream without the support and guidance of Joao, who is the back bone of her success.
